Mont-Libre is an agile learning center for homeschooled teenagers between the ages of 11 and 18. Our main goal is to offer a safe space for them to truly be themselves; discover who they are, where they’re going, and how they’ll get there.

Learners attending Mont-Libre are in charge of their own learning process.  They get to choose what they want to do, set specific goals, and in collaboration with the facilitators decide on the workshops and activities to reach those goals.

An important part of this is inviting the teens to participate in democratic assemblies in order to be engaged in decision-making processes and conflict mediation.

At Mont-Libre, all participants take responsibility for their own decisions and actions. The content of the workshops that are co-created with the teenagers at the centre are extra-curricular. Workshops may touch on fields such as philosophy, coding, politics, dance, anthropology, music, and much, much more!

We are an inclusive learning environment, open to neurodiversity and LGBTQI teens. We work in collaboration with the Agile Learning Network and the Compass Centre for Self-Directed Learning in Ottawa.

We are open Monday to Thursday from 9:15am to 4:30pm. Our activities are from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
